The passion for leather craftsmanship is a family affair for Leonardo. Raised following the footsteps of his grandfather and great-grandfather, Leonardo is the heir of a Tuscan family which, for over 70 years, has respected the tradition of handcrafted production of excellent quality leather bags and shoes.
His heritage is rooted in Florence, a city where each of his products is created following the techniques of artisan manufacturing, enriched by the added value that the Tuscan artisan reality gives.
The connection with the territory and the tradition are the bases for Leonardo’s work, as well as a motive of pride for all of his productions.
“The place of origin of each of our creations plays a great influence on the final result of a handcrafted product. The Tuscan style and tradition present in our creations is palpable” says Leonardo, member of the Italian Artisan community.
HIS ARTISANAL PRODUCTS
Leonardo’s manufacturing company specializes in the creation of bags, shoes and small leather goods, with a creative process that ranges from pattern-making to prototypes, and from trend research to the final creation of the product.
What most characterizes Leonardo’s creations is the enormous flexibility in the productions. His craft techniques, in fact, constantly adapt to the final needs of fashion brands, and there are 3 that make his style particularly unique:
- Hand-made padding: a treatment that enhances the shades of color while maintaining the natural imperfections of the leather, giving it a refined irregularity of great value. The result is an article with a high quality silky feeling.
- Garment dyeing: treatment that gives garments an aged and non-compliant look through artisanal and innovative processes.
- Vegetable tanning: tanning treatment with natural and vegetable products which gives the products unmistakable properties making them unique.
When he creates new products for the demand of the international fashion world, Leonardo pays great attention to respecting the unique style needs of each brand, making the relationship with the brand and constant communication the main success point of each of his productions.

Reproduction attempts have been many over the years, and are still being made today, but the final product is not the same.
